Background Story
Hello friend! My name is Maria Jose Diaz. I'm from Bogota, Colombia. I have been living in the United States for over fifteen years, and I love it here!
Since adolescence, I have been fond of writing, and before leaving my country I obtained a bachelor's degree in Social Communication from Javeriana University.
My first book is called “The Suicide I Didn't Commit” and it is a text that talks about different situations that are normalized in society, such as sexual, psychological, and physical abuse inside the family. Those situations are extremely common, so people often become accustomed to them. However, a topic that is rarely approached is the toxic relationship that can exist between a mother and a daughter.
